Mr. Schikluna launched 2 vessels at St. Catharines on Saturday afternoon (4/23). The first is a fine propeller, the LOUIS SHICKLUNA, valued at $28,000; length 140 ft., beam 26 ft. 2 inches, depth 10 ft. 7 inches, capacity 3,800 bbls. flour to Montreal or 16,500 bu. wheat through the Welland Canal. She belongs to the Northern Shore Transportation Co., and will be commanded by Capt. Pollock, and is to run between Montreal, Port Stanley and Chicago. The second vessel is the schr. J.C. McGARTH, length 104 ft., beam 25 ft. 6 inches, depth 10 ft. 6 inches, capacity 13,000 bu. grain. The 2 vessels are models of neatness and strength, and will add to the celebrity of their builder.
