SILVER SPRAY
Owned by Captain John O'Neil, of St. Catherines but chartered last season, by Mrs. Captain Smith to run between this place and Collingwood. Great improvements have been made upon this vessel, which will not only render her more seaworthy and comfortable, but which very materially changes her appearance for the better, She has been enclosed forward and decked to the bow, which alone makes her look a hundred per cent better than she did last year.
She has received a handsome new upper cabin and staterooms, which will be splendidly furnished, and altogether elegantly fitted up for the accommodation of passengers. She has been materially strengthened in the hull, and has received a hold wherein she will carry her freights which will not only give more room on her decks, but will do away with any crankness which she fonnerly possessed and render her a perfectly steady and smooth sailing steamer. Her engine and boilers have been thoroughly overhauled and repaired. The enterprising finn of Messrs Corbet and sons have good the damage caused by breaking of her walking beam, new cylinder cover and bottom piston etc. etc. She will be commanded by Captain Wm. Myers, than whom no man knows better the navigation of these waters, and how to handle a steamboat. As well as her Captain the first engineer Mr. W.S. Fletcher, and the purser Mr. Richard Kimilt of St. Catharines and Byng Inlet will be found to be obliging.
