Maritime History of the Great Lakes

Anna Sloan (Steam yacht), 26 May 1887

Description
Full Text

The ferry from the foot of Main St. to the Tifft farms dock, was started today. Two yachts have been purchased, the ANNA SLOAN and the NINA & EDNA, by the lumbermen of Buffalo for the accommodation of their customers, themselves and the general public in visiting the new lumber district. This will be a great convenience to all interested and will no doubt help to build up the Thirteenth ward. W.W. Taylor is manager of the new line. Hourly trips will be made, and if necessary, every half hour.
