      . . . . .

The bark SONORA recently sailed from Milwaukee laden with a cargo of wheat. Before arriving at the Manitou's she had made considerable water, and was obliged to tack ship and return to Milwaukee -- where she discharged her cargo, about 400 bushels of which was damaged by water, and went into dry dock for repairs. During the past winter she had been partially rebuilt, and it was found on examination that there were three auger holes in the hull that were not plugged before she was launched after being rebuilt. She will soon be ready for another and we hope more prosperous voyage.
