Southern Michigan (Steamboat), 18 Mar 1853
- Full Text
The Toledo Blade of the 15th says: "We have today received substantial assurances that the SOUTHERN MICHIGAN, under the command of the gallant Perkins, will soon commence her regular trips. There can be no doubt but that this excellent steamer, under this able and experienced commander, will receive a large share of the patronage of the travelling community. Capt. Perkins has won for himself, by his indefatigable exertions, and his close application to the wants of his passengers, an enviable name and reputation, both as a gentleman and a sairor. The SOUTHERN MICHIGAN will leave here regularly Mondays and Thursday, and returning, leave Buffalo on Tuesday and Fridays."
