Description
Full Text

Capt. Edward Kelley of this city purchased about a month ago, the schr. ST. CLAIR, of Dexter, as she laid on the beach at Manistee. She went ashore, light, last November, during a heavy gale, and remained until 2 weeks ago when she was got off, and arrived at this port on Sunday morning last, in charge of Capt. W. Kelley, brother of the purchaser. The ST. CLAIR is but little injured. Her repairs completed, she will sail for Kalamazoo, and run between that port and Chicago during the season, in the lumber trade. She is 122 tons burthen, fore-and-aft rig. - Chicago Dem. Press
