Cleveland, April 10 - A new steamship line has been established to do business out of this port. It is known as the Cleveland & Toledo line, and its formation will simplify matters greatly. For the last 2 years the business between this port and Toeldo has been handled jointly by the C.& B. line and the D.& C. line This year it has been decided to make a slight change. The new company is the result. The business is still in the hands of the 2 other companies, but for the sake of better business arrangements the new line is formed. This company will operate the stms. STATE OF NEW YORK, STATE OF OHIO and CITY OF THE STRAITS. It is expected that the season will open about Saturday
with the STATE OF NEW YORK.
About May 1st the daily service will be started with the STATE OF OHIO.
The boats have been refitted for the season. THe Cleveland & Toledo boats will be officered as follows: STATE OF NEW YORK, Salem Robinson, master, formerly the first officers of the CITY OF MACKINAC; STATE OF OHIO, Alex McLaughlin, master; CITY OF THE STRAITS, Duncan McLaughlin, master.
