Capt. Ralph Meyers of Tonawanda, who has sailed the stm. NIKO of the Hamilton Transportation Co., of Chicago for many years, was today appointed commodore of the company's fleet. The company has at present eight lumber carrying vessels. President Hamilton has also appointed Captain Kenneth Mackenzie as master of the NIKO and Captain Peter Ward as master of the TEMPEST. He named Captain William Johnson as master of the barge A. STEWART and Captain Ralph McGrath as master of the INTERLAKEN.
