The ALANSON SUMNER, a new tug, was launched at Oswego, Thursday (4/25). Her dimensions are: Length over all 139 ft., which is within 4 ft. of the longest craft oassing the Welland Canal; breadth of beam 24 ft.; depth of hold 11 ft. 6 inches, which makes it deeper than ordinary schooners by 6 inches; and will draw 9 1/2 ft. of water. The cost of the SUMNER will be not far from $10,000.
