Capt. Alex Clark, who was master of the stm. EBER WARD, of the Union Transit Co., which has been out of commission for some time, was yesterday sworn in as master of the stm. WILLIAM H. STEVENS, of the same line. Capt. John H. Maloy retiring on account of sickness. Some time ago an operation was performed on Capt. Maloy, and it is said a former ailment again is bothering him.
