Winslow (Propeller), 4 Apr 1862

The tug WINSLOW was launched at 3:00 yesterday, from Taylor & Nartin's shipyard. The WINSLOW is one of the finest tugs ever built on the lakes, being 120 ft. keel, and designed for the St. Clair Flats. She is owned by Messrs. N.C. and H.J. Winslow and R. Anderson, and is to be sailed by Capt. Robert Anderson. At about the same hour the schr. UNADILLA was launched from the yard of Ira Lafriner. She belongs to Mr. N.C. Winslow, and will be sailed by Capt. Ben. S. Wolvin. - Cleveland Herald, Apr.1

LAUNCHES. -- Two launches took place yesterday, says the Cleveland Leader, at nearly the same hour - about 5 o'clock. The first was the tug built by Quayle & Martin for the Messrs. Winslow and Capt. Robert Anderson, for use upon the St. Clair Flats. She is a fine specimen of that class of boat, being 124 feet keel, 20 feet beam, and 10 feet 6 inches hold, and built in the most substantial manner. She is called the "Winslow."
The other was a boat built by Ira Laffrinier for A. C. Winslow. She is a fine vessel of her class, being 137 feet keel, 20 feet beam, 12 feet hold, and 400 tons Custon House Measurement. She is designed for canal service. She will be called Unadilla."
