Maritime History of the Great Lakes

Anne Winslow (Brig), 1 Apr 1842

Description
Full Text

The admirers of nautical science have been much gratified within a few days, by the appearance in our harbor of several fine new vessels, built at the west. Among others, the beauty of model and excellent rig of the brigs ANNE WINSLOW, REBECCA, BURLINGTON and ALERT, seemed to attract general observation. Old salts say the huls of these vessels are faultless, and as far as their finish goes, it is emphatically the case. They all reflect the highest credit upon the artizans and owners.
