STEAMBARGE LAUNCHED
      [Special teleram to the Inter Ocean]
      Cleveland, Ohio, April 13. -- The steambarge ROBERT WALLACE was launched at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from Radcliffe's ship yard. Only a small crowd witnessed the launch. The vessel is owned by Gawn, Wallace, and others, of Lorain, and she will engage in the iron ore trade. She is 210 feet keel, 36 feet beam, 16 feet 6 inches hold, and will have compound engines and will tow the schooner THOMAS GAWN. Captain Frank Brown will command her.

      A special dispatch to the Courier from Cleveland last night says: The stm. ROBERT WALLACE was successfully launched this afternoon. She was built by Radcliffe for Gawn, Wallace and others of Lorain, at a cost of $90,000. Her dimensions are 210 ft. keel, 36 ft. beam, and 19 1/2 ft. hold. Her engine is compound, 27 and 50 inches, with 36 inch stroke. Her average draught is 6 ft. 4 1/2 inches and her capacity is 1,300 tons.

      The stm. ROBERT WALLACE launched at Cleveland on Thursday, will go into the iron ore trade and will tow the schr. THOMAS GAWN. She had been chartered to carry 5 cargoes of coal from Toledo to Duluth, and 9 cargoes of ore from Marquette to Cleveland for the Rolling Mill Co. She will be commanded by Capt. Frank Brown, recently of the VENICE, with Adolph Oldorth as first mate.
