- Full Text
The new schooner CONVOY, built at Elk Creek, 15 miles above Erie, last winter, for Captain W. Atwell, was effectually launched on Saturday last, by the efficient aid rendered by the officers and crew of the U. S. Revenue Cutter, ERIE. - Capt. Atwell, as we learn from the Sandusky Clarion, has been making unsuccessful efforts to launch her for the last six weeks. She is a fine vessel of about 210 tons burthen.

The RACINE is the name of a beautiful, finely modeled schooner of 223 tons burthen, just arrived from the builders hands at Cleveland. She belongs principally to Richmond & Co. The BLUE BELL is the name also of another new, large sized vessel launched at Huron. The CONVOY recently built at Elk Creek, and which has been fitting up, has taken on freight and departed westward.
