A new steamboat named the METROPOLIS, was launched Trenton, Michigan,
on Saturday last, for Capt. L.B. Goldsmith. Her dimensions are: Length
overall, 175 ft.; breadth of beam, 26 ft.; extreme width, 46 ft.; depth of
hold 9 ft. 3 inches.
