Detroit, May 25 - Jedediah Spaulding charges in a libel against the schr. H.G. CLEVELAND that on October 13, 1890, his schr. F.X. was lying at Kelley's wharf, Kelley's Island. It became necessary to move his vessel around to the leeward of the dock, which was attempted by warping lines. The schr. H.G. CLEVELAND was lying in such a position that this process was very difficult to execute, and while at work on the F.X. a storm came up and she sank with her cargo. The CLEVELAND is charged with $4,000 damages for being moored in such a position as not to afford the F.X. a chance to secure a place of safety.
