The prop. LACROSSE, Capt. Hawkins now lying at the dock of E.K. Bruce, is one of 3 propellers built by D.M. O'Connoer, and owned by Fitzhugh & Littlejohn of Oswego. The DUBUQUE, Capt. J.M. Litz and the BURLINGTON, Capt. L. Litz, are the names of the other 2. The latter is of 383 tons burthen and the 2 former about 390 tons. They are intended for the Oswego and Upper Lakes trade. The LACROSSE is named by Mr. O'Conner in honor of the city of Lacrosse, Wis., and in remembrance of several pleasant
years of his life spent there. We are informed that Messrs. F. & L. are entering into negotiations for the building of several more propellers.
