The Western Transit line has chartered for the rest of the season the new stm. WYOMING, owned by Peter P. Miller, R. Mills & Co. and others. The contract will probably be signed today. The WYOMING is in dock to get her
wheel, and advantage was yesterday taken of this circumstance to put on the regulation paint of the Western Line. She is to go into commission next Saturday, though she may begin loading Thursday. It is expected that she will carry about 2,300 tons freight. Capt. Peter J. Kenny will command her.
She will run between this port and Chicago. The owners of this boat intend soon to begin another.
