The late Canadian prop. NIPIGON, owned by Thomas M. Ryan of Buffalo,
arrived yesterday and went into drydock to complete her rebuild. She has a
history of hard luck since her first mishap last fall. She went ashore in
Lake Ontario late in the fall and on being released was caught in the ice at
Clayton where she soon after took fire and burned all her upper works off.
The insurance company that took her risk failed, but her plucky owner had
her rebuilt at Clayton and she will soon be ready for regular business. She
has been Americanized and will be called the STEPHEN C. CLARK.
