Mr. F.N. Jones, the well known shipbuilder has recently been launching several schooners. Among them we notice the CORRESPONDENT, a fine one, which is so named in honor of Hiram Niles, of the firm of Niles & Kinne, by whom she is owned. Mr. Niles is known as the correspondent of the house, and the vessel received the name at the instance of G.D. Norris, of Milwaukee, who presented her with an appropriate set of colors. She is something over 350 tons burthen, and will be sailed by Capt. Sheldon. Also the W.B. HIBBARD Capt. Lyman Wilson and the RESOLUTION, Capt. Davison; both same tonnage as the above; were fitted out by E.K. Bruce, and now nearly ready for sea. They all go into the Lake Navigation Co.'s Line.
The KATE HAYES is the name of a handsome fore-and-after, launched at noon yesterday from E.K. Bruce's yard of about 350 tons.
Gerorge Hardison launched a day or two since a fine schooner for her owners who reside at Erie. We did not learn her name. (HUNTRESS)
