LAUNCH OF A STEAMER. - Capt. Goodrich's large new steamer was launched at Manitowoc on Thursday. She will be named the NORTHWEST. - Chicago Tribune.

Steamer NORTHWEST. Of 1,009 tons. Built at Manitowoc in Oct. 1866 by G. Rand. Home port, Detroit. Owned by the Detroit & Cleveland Steam Boat Co. Value, $70,000. Class A 2. REMARKS:-- Rebuilt in 1877.
