The new tug FRANK W. building at the Union Shipyard for Fletcher & Gilchrist of Alpena, came out yesterday and made her trial trip. Mr. Gilchrist was down to see her out. She is pronounced by all who have seen her the finest tug that yard ever turned out, which is saying a good deal, after such tugs as the SCHENCK have come from there. She is named for the tow owners, whose first names happen to be the same. She is said to have cost about $19,000.
