We are informed that the Englemann Transportation Co. have sold the side-wheel steamer METROPOLIS to J.B. Culver and others, of Duluth, Minn. The price has not transpired, but it is supposed to be between $30,000 and $40,000. It is the intention of the new owners to run the METROPOLIS between Duluth, L'Anse and points on Portage Lake. They desire to purchase one or more steamers or propellers for the Lake Superior trade.
