A large bark named B.F. BRUCE was launched at Crosthwaite’s yard at Saginaw on Monday (6/16) afternoon. Her dimensions are 193 x 32 x 12.9 (over all 201) and has an estimated 800 tons burden. She will be sailed by Capt. McMillan. She was built at a cost of $60,000 for Messrs. Kelderhouse of Buffalo.

The new schooner B.F. BRUCE was launched on Monday at East Saginaw. The vessel was built by Mr. Crosthwaite and is not properly a schooner, but what is known in nautical alnguage a three-and-after. The cost was $50,000. Her capacity is 50,000bushels of wheat of 800 tons in custom house weights.
