THE MONROE LINE.
It will be seen from the following, which we take from the Monroe Advocate, that the Monroe people have succeeded in securing a daily line of boats from that port during the summer. The Advocate gives the following list of Monroe Boats:
      "The CONSTITUTION which arrived here last week is to be commanded by Capt. E.L. Haff, of this place. Capt. Haff is worthy and competent, and has had much experience on the lake and ocean as a commander.
      "The SOUTHERNER, a fine new boat, was launched last fall and made several trips. She appears this spring with a new upper cabin, under the command of Capt. Perkins, who is deservedly known to the travelling public.
      "The De WITT CLINTON, undergoing the usual winter repairs, will be under the charge of Capt. E.G. Lamb, who is spoken of by the Buffalo papers, in connection with his post as a captain in the highest terms of approval.
"The BALTIMORE, a new boat, will be under the management of Capt. Strong, whose skill, seamanship, and experience have been tried, and who is favorably known as a trust worthy commander.
      "The FRANKLIN, too, thoroughly repaired, and fitted up for the coming season, is to be directed again by her old commander, Capt. J.L. Edmons, the tried friend of Monroe, and who is well known as an experienced seaman.
"Mr. Creelman's new boat is progressing rapidly, and will probably get afloat some time during the summer. We hear it said, also, that the SHAKSPEARE, a new boat building by Capt. Ward, at St. Clair, to be out in May next, may probably be placed in the Monroe and Buffalo Line.
