      Steamer JEFFERSON.--This favorite craft has been laid up for the season. Her master, Capt. Thomas Richards, by his polite and gentlemanly conduct, and his superior abilities as a commander, has secured for himself and the boat under his control, the respect and confidence of all who have travelled with him. The BUFFALOhas been hauled off the upper lake line and takes the place of the Jefferson. The staunch boat MISSUORI, Capt. Wilkins, which has been laid up for the last two months, comes out in place of the Buffalo. She leaves for Chicago athis morning at 11 o’clock . Buff. Gaz.
