The stm. UNITED LUMBERMAN, owned by the Modern Transit Co. of Port Colborne, Ont., is being rebuilt at Mackenzies lumber docks at Tonawanda. The boat was badly damaged by fire in the Niagara River several years (sic) ago. The machinery in the steamer has been removed.

Tonawanda, Dec. 1 - The stm. UNITED LUMBERMAN and barges JEANETTE and H.M. STANLEY owned by the Modern Transit Co. of Toronto, will be towed from Mackenzie lumber dock here to Port Colborne, where they will go into winter quarters.
The UNITED LUMBERMAN was damaged by fire here 2 months ago. She will be rebuilt in Canada this winter and will be ready for the 1911 navigation season.
