The Sturgeon Bay Advocate states that the decks have been taken out of the schooner KATE HINCHMAN and she will be cut down about 18 inches. A new deck will be put in with an overhang about 2 feet on each side. She will be converted into an unrigged barge and will engage in the stone carrying trade.
