IMPORTANT SALE.
On Monday the tenth of January, I825, at the hour of twelve o'clock at noon, at the Gevernment Wharf, in Kingston will be sold by public auction to the highest bidder, without reserve, the Steam Vessel
      " F R O N T E N A C " 700 tons burden
With an engine of 50 horse power, (Bolton and Watt,) together with Anchors, Cables, Sails, Rigging, Cabin Furniture, &c., &c., &c.

On Monday last the Steam Boat FRONTENAC, was sold by auction at the Government Wharf, for the sum of 1,550 L (sterling). This vessel though eminently useful and convenient, as respected the accommodation of the public, did not, we understand, renumerate the proprietors. Indeed we believe she was quite a losing concern. The purchaser was Mr. John Hamilton, brother of the gentleman who is now constructing a new steam Boat at Queenston. He intends, it is said, after making some necessary repairs, to run the FRONTENAC another year -- when it is probable he will build another boat of smaller dimensions, to be propelled by the same excellent engine. The public therefore, is not likely to suffer in point of convenience, as there will be increased facilities for travelling and the transportation of goods.
