NEW FERRY LAUNCHED.
Toledo, O., Aug. 30.--The new steel car ferry, CHIEF WAWATAM, the largest ever built at the yards of the Toledo Shipbuilding Company, has been launched.
The vessel was built for the Mackinac Transportation Company. She ply the waters about the Straits of Mackinac, her principal ports being Mackinaw and St. Ignace. The CHIEF WAWATAM is 552 feet Long. Her beam is 62 feet and her draught, loaded, is 25 feet. She will be ready for delivery Oct. 15.
