Queen of the Lakes, 22 May 1872

Description
Full Text

On Tuesday afternoon the QUEEN OF THE LAKES was launched at Wyandotte. This is the first vessel the Messrs. Kirby have out in the water at this place and it is also the first iron vessel ever built in Michigan.
      Port Huron Daily Times
      Monday, May 27, 1872

NOTE:- The above is very misleading, is it a launching of the propeller, after repairs, or is the name a misprint ?
