Full Text

Bay City, June 1 The schooner NEW DOMINION is loading coal at the Pere Marquette dock from Detroit & Mackinaw cars which she will take to a Georgian Bay port. The coal comes from the Winner mine and is the first cargo sent from this county to the upper lakes. The local railroads have under consideration the project of building a modern coal dock that boats may be loaded with dispatch for any of the upper lake ports in competition with the coal centers of Ohio.
