Merrill and others of Milwaukee have sold the schr. JOHN B. MERRILL to Connolly Bros. & others of Buffalo for $22,000, and the schr. PORTER to N.S. Whipple of Detroit for $28,000. This closes out all of the old Merrill fleet but the stm. NAHANT. They have 3 new steamers, and are buidling 2 others.
