The Anchor Line's new propeller JUNIATA will be launched the latter part of this week at Buffalo.

      The new freight boat JUNIATA, built at Buffalo for the Anchor Line, was launched on Saturday. Her dimensions are: 251' 9" ; 267' over all, 35' 6" beam, 16' 3" depth of hold, 1900 tons.

The official measurement of the new Anchor Line propeller JUNIATA, recently launched at the Union Dry Dock Company's yard at Buffalo, is as follows: Length, 261.5 feet; breadth, 35 feet; depth, 15.3 feet; height between decks, 8.9 feet; capacity under the tonnage deck, 1,108.37 tons; capacity between decks, , 600.53 tons; total tonnage, 1,708.90.

      THE NEW JUNIATA.
      Her Arrival Yesterday - Something Further In Regard To The Fine Craft.
The new Anchor Line freight propeller JUNIATA arrived here yesterday afternoon, on her first trip, with 800 tons of merchandise, from Buffalo and Erie. Mr. Evans, General Manager of the Anchor Line, and wife, came up as passengers on her from Milwaukee. The following are the dimensions of the new boat: Length of keel, 252 feet, over all 255 feet; breadth 35 feet; depth of hold 15 feet 3 inches; tonnage 1,708:90. She has one tubular boiler. Her engine has one cylinder 24 x 48; the other 48 square. or four foot stroke. The JUNIATA was built by the Union Dry Dock Company at Buffalo, and cost about $95,000. She has all the latest improvements, ventilators and apparatus for loading and unloading, water tanks, etc., etc., in case of fire. Her officers are: Captain, Richard Fitzgerald; First Mate, John Leonard; Second mate, Patrick Riley; Chief Engineer, Robert H. Wise; Second Engineer, John Boyd; Steward; Edward Hawks. The captain reports that everything worked well on the way up, and he is well pleased with her, as also are the owners.
      The JUNIATA is a sister ship to the DELAWARE, which came out recently.
