Mayflower (Propeller), 6 Apr 1879

Description
Full Text

Since the propeller MAYFLOWER became the property of her present owner, she has been very generally overhauled, and, when navigation opens, will be in better condition than for years past. Among her repairs may be counted a new stem, new main deck, and new deck beams over her boiler, while her boiler has been thoroughly rebuilt. Beside 50 feet of her cabin aft has been taken off, which lightens her up considerably, and gives her a decidedly better appearance. Extensive repairs have been made to her engines. Capt. Gill Traverse will command her. She rates B 1.
