GRAIN BOAT NAMED FOR JOHN CURTIS OF BUFFALO
Lockport, June 8. -- Patrick Degman of 344 Clinton street has purchased a new grain boat from William H. Follette, the boat builder of North Tonawanda. The boat was launched last Thursday. The craft has been christened the JOHN CURTIS of Lockport, after John Curtls, a former resident of this city, who conducts the Curtis Hotel on Exchange street in Buffalo. The boat will be loaded today at Buffalo and sent on its first trip, down the canal.
