      The well known craft WINSLOW, which heretofore has been so successful in the transfer of barges and rafts through the lakes, is now at this port, and has just undergone some important improvements in her machinery by the addition of a new cylinder much larger in size than formerly, with everything materially strengthened. She has also been newly painted, besides work laid out on her hull and cabins. Her occupation will be the same as last year, while Capt. Thomas Allen apractical tug man continues in command as formerly.
