A Salty in Port
The schooner GUIDO C. TRUNPFF, fresh from salt water, arrived in port this morning for a cargo for Milwaukee. The TRUMPFF was absent on the ocean about one year, and during that time visited ports in England, Ireland, Scotland, Spain and Brazil. She looks as though she withstood the ocean breezes and heavy swells without any very great strain and although pretty rusty is as good as when she started. Another sea voyage might be beneficial to the captain in teaching him common civility. A trip or two on the lakes we hope may bring the gruff commander down to his level, and instill into his mind that all men cannot be treated as shell-backs' are treated at sea.
