The new steam barge constructed for the Conlon Bros., of Thorold, by the Messrs. Shickluna, of St. Catharines, was successfully launched Thursday afternoon, and named the ERIN. She will be ready to sail in a few days. It is reported that F. St. John, of Port Burwell, has purchased the schooner (sic) for $72,000. She will have a carrying capacity of about 75,000 bushels of corn.
