VESSEL BUILDING. -- At St. Clair, S. Langeon is building for J. L. Woods & Co., of Cleveland, O., a new steam barge for the lumber trade from Au Sable to Cleveland. She is 165 feet keel, 177 feet over all, 11 feet hold, 30 feet beam. Dimensions of engine, 27 x 32 inches, high pressure. She will be ready June 1st, and commanded by Captain Fish, now of the steam barge OSCEOLA. Captain Slyfield is rebuilding the burned hull of the propeller CLEVELAND. He will make a tow barge for the lumber trade of her. Mr. Langeon will soon lay the keel of a 45,000 bushel vessel for Whitney & Co., of Detroit.

Port Notes. -- The new steambarge OGEMAW is again in the harbor with a cargo of lumber from Au Sable for Wood, Perry & Co., her owners. The vessel was built at St. Clair during the past winter, by S. Langoon, [Langel She is an excellent craft and good carrier, being of the following dimensions: Length of keel 165 feet; overall 177 feet; hold 11 feet, and beam 30 feet. Her engine is 27 x 82 inches, high pressure.
