Detroit Free Press. -- The steam barge R. J. HACKETT has been changed from a single to a double decker at the Springwell dry dock, and is now nearly completed. Her improvements will cost about $8,000. In addition to the above she has been thoroughly overhauled and all bad timber replaced. Her consort, the McGREGOR, has received $2,000 worth of repairs at the same yard. The two will leave in a few days.
