The new barge JEREMIAH GODFREY was launched at Dunford and Alverson's yard on Thursday afternoon in the presence of 500 people. The launch was a successful in every respect. The boat is 175' keel, 34' 10" beam and 13' depth of hold. The cost is about $30,000. The carrying capacity 47,000 bushels. The steamer BECKWITH towed her to the dock.
