      On the first day of the present month an organization was perfected to be known as the Buffalo Tug Association and constituted, as its name implies, of those engaged in the harbor towing business. This is the first formal organization ever effected by the tug men. The Association controls the following named tugs:
      FRANK PEREW G.W. GARDINER
      O.L. NIMS SARAH E. BRYANT
      BOB ANDERSON GEORGE MAYTHAM
      F.L. DANFORTH C.W. JONES
      J.N. TIFFT J.A. MCDOUGAL
      A.M. BALL COMPOUND
      PROTECTION R.R. HEFFORD
      At a recent meeting rules of government were adopted, and the following officers elected for the year:
      President - Capt. George H. Hand
      1st Vice President - Capt. Wallace Prouty
      2nd Vice President - Capt. James M. Carrol
      Secretary - George Maytham
      Treasurer - C.W> Jones
      Superintendent - Capt. Thomas Maytham
      Arbitration Committee - Capt. John Green, Capt. Robert Anderson, Capt. John Johnson.
      The business matters of the association will be conducted by Messrs. Jones and Maytham, at their old office, corner of Central Wharf and Main St.
