STEAMER WYANDOTTE STRONGEST ON THE LAKES.
The steamer WYANDOTTE was successfully launched yesterday at the Ecorse yards of the Great Lakes Engineering Company. The new boat is 306 feet long, 45 feet moulded beam and 24 feet moulded depth. It is said that she is the strongest boat ever built on the lakes, being designed to carry crushed stone between Alpena and Wyandotte regardless of weather. Her inner bottom is carried to the spar deck. Some new features have been developed in her conveying machinery.
