The new steel steamer that is being built for Samuel M. Sloan was launched this afternoon at the foot of Porter Avenue. The boat was christened the FAVORITE and will be operated on an excursion run between Buffalo and Electric Beach. The boat is 110 feet long and 53 feet beam (?) She will carry 1000 passengers and will go into commission this season.
