LAUNCH -- The steamer ISLANDER which was placed upon the slip some months since for repairs, was safely returned to her element on Monday, with the new name of BRUCE and very appropriately, too, for she scarcely retains anything of her former self. The hull and deck, are almost entirely new. The engine made by Mr. Runciman, of this place and the boiler by Mr. Gartshore of Dundee, both new and being fitted up. A few weeks will suffice to make her ready for service - we trust that she will prove a profitable investment to her enterprising owners Messrs. Van Every and Rumball --- Goderich Signal
