MARINE INTELLIGENCE.
The marine list of the Port for the last week, gives a good statement of the Commercial Trade. We perceived that our Docks and Warehouses are well filled with Western Products, and Merchandize bound west and north. The harbor shows quite an active seaport appearance, with steamers - sail-crafts- and canal boats, taking in and discharging Cargo; property goes forwardwith despatch. We give some specimens of quick passages and recent arrivals. The Schooner POTOMAC, Capt. Shattuck left this port for Chicago, the 2d of April, with a Cargo of Merchandize, Salt, Furniture, and Passengers, and made her return voyage to Oswego, only 40 days out, heavily laden, with 250 bbls. beef and lard, and 5,195 bushels of wheat. The Schooner LIVERPOOL, Capt. Barrows, with a full cargo of Pork, flour, and Ashes, equal to 140 to 150 tons - made her run from Detroit to Oswego in 4 1-2 days. Another, the steam Propeller NEW YORK, Capt. Cornwall, direct from this Port in 11 days - returned Sunday morning, with down cargo (to Doolittle, Mills, & Co.,) consisting of 623 bbls. Port and Lard, and 4,371 bagged and cured Illinois Hams, in bulk. Completing the double voyage in twenty-four days.
