Full Text

Another old schooner, the ARGO, was stripped Saturday by order of her owner, Mr. J. C. Magill, and she will be allowed to decay in the Empire slip, near Twelfth street. The ARGO is one of the oldest vessels on the Great Lakes, and was built at Sackett's harbor, N.Y. by Dickenson in 1847. She measured 125 tons. Her hull has been rotten a long time. - Chicago Tribune.
