The steamer D.G. KERR of the Provident Steam Ship Company was launched at Duluth on Wednesday last.

Three modern freight vessels were added to the fleet of the Great lakes yesterday when the SAXONA and the D.G. KERR cleared Chicago for Lake Erie eith ore cargoes, and the GEORGE C. HOWE cleared South Chicago for Buffalo with wheat. The HOWE is one of 12 Wolvin - Quebec Line boats, the KERR is owned by the Provident Steamship Co., of Duluth, and the SAXONA belongs to the Zenith Steamship Company
