The "Trinidad." - We have before mentioned the new and splendid schooner Trinidad, the property of Messrs. John Keller and A.B. Merriam of this city. She has just arrived in this port with a cargo of 18,500 bushels of wheat, which she brought through the Welland Canal without lighting.

The Trinidad was built by Mr. Wm. Keefe, ship builder of this city, at or near Tonawanda, for the owners. She is 142 feet long over all; 11 feet hold and 16 feet beam; well timbered and fastened in every respect, and sports the modern iron rigging.

She is of the largest dimensions capable of passing the locks of the canal, and brought her first cargo through in the best order without wetting it in the least. She is commanded by Capt. J. W. Horton, a gentlemanly, competent, and efficient commander, in whose hands the Trinidad cannot fail of giving a good account of herself and bringing good returns to her enterprising owners. We like to see this business and this class of vessels multiply in our harbor.
